Russ Ferrell was introduced to jewelry-design in college where he was a comprehensive art major.  Jewelry seemed to fit well with his interest in drawing and sculpture.  After Russ received a BA in art from St. Cloud State University, he continued his studies by taking a diamond grading course from the Gemological Institute of America ("GIA").  The course taught him the finer points of selecting high quality diamonds for the clients he works for.

Geometric simplicity is the driving force behind each of Russ Ferrell's designs.  When he began making jewelry in the early 1990's, the feeling of clean, contemporary, flowing lines guided his creativity.  The idea of "less is more" has always been incorporated into each ring, pendant, or set of earrings that Russ designs.  He first starts with a beautiful gemstone and then designs the mounting to accentuate the stone to its fullest potential.  In jewelry-making there are no boundaries, the only limits are one's ideas and creativity.

Russ designs each piece of jewelry, creating wearable art.  Each ring, earring, and pendant is hand crafted from gold, silver, or platinum.  Russ can design a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry just for you.  You can choose from a variety of precious metals, gemstones, shapes and sizes; or you may choose to use your own stone.  Either way, you can have a truly unique piece of jewelry.  Each design is made with the wearability of the customer in mind.  The design is first rendered on paper and then transferred into metal.  Each design bears the Ferrell Copyright stamp that signifies the quality and craftsmanship that is distinctive of Ferrell Designer Jewelry.
